Brigid Collins Family Support Center, founded in 1990, is a private nonprofit organization that serves families throughout Greater Whatcom County, Wash. It offers group therapies for children and adolescents who are victims of sexual abuse. The center also offers case management and therapeutic support services. Its child sexual abuse program provides remedial services for children who have been sexually abused. The center provides the growing together program, which provides services to pregnant and parenting women with histories of chemical dependency. Its services includes therapeutic parenting education and support; dialectical behavioral skill development; child development assessments and referral; mental health counseling and group therapies; transitional housing; and acupuncture treatment.
