BP Automotive is a small auto repair shop that takes on just about any kind of work on any kind of car, said one of the mechanics who works for Ben Bechtel, business owner for more than a decade.
The three-bay shop handles engine, clutch and transmission work, as well as regular maintenance. It's a workaday kind of place in a big, barn-like building, with a no-frills waiting room and a shop floor crowded with tools, hoists and cars in various states of repair. But the shop has all the diagnostic tools you'd find in a large dealership, and the mechanics are veterans who can do anything from tune-ups to installing struts, shocks and c.v. joints.
