Boys and Girls Club of Ballard is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Founded in 1969, the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of programs, activities and services for more than 2,000 youths. It offers programs in the areas of education and career development, art, technology and citizenship. The organization also provides sports, before and after school programs, camping activities, leadership opportunities and recreational services. Its child care program includes a variety of activities, such as learning projects, arts and crafts and cooking.
