HistoryPartners International traces is roots back to the first partnership between American Christians and indigenous Christian missionaries, which occurred in China during WWII. Japan invades China, killing millions and displacing all of the 6,000 western missionaries in China at the time. The Western church thinks - have we lost China? Who will now preach to them? Duncan McRoberts was one of the last missionaries to leave China. He believed passionately in the ability of his Chinese brothers and sisters to reach their own people for Christ, even though this was a controversial idea at the time. Calvin Chao was one of them - he and his wife sold their wedding rings to purchase transportation to another village to share Christ! Chinese Christians continued evangelizing their neighbors with very little resources or support. A group of business leaders from Seattle were captivated by Duncan's message and dedicated themselves to doing whatever they could to assist the Chinese Christians in reaSpecialtiesWe seek to build the Christian Church in the least reached and least resources places on earth. We do this by partnering with local, indigenous ministries who are furthering the Gospel through holistic projects based upon empowering women, community development and supporting children.
