The nonprofit Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra provides a music experience for children from elementary school through early college. Students come from more than 20 cities, towns and suburbs in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties. Auditions are required for every student for each season. There are a variety of levels and options for budding musicians, from the Cadet Strings for beginners up to the Youth Symphony for the most experienced young musicians. Students perform an average of five concerts per season at a variety of venues. It has been a haven for young Eastside musicians since 1964.
