History
I have been practicing acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 1988. I have worked with a rheumatologist for 6 years and in a community clinic for 10 years. I have also worked with chiropractors and naturopaths. Finally in 2009 I started Kent-Kangley healing center to help and serve patients more directly and with ease. I am very glad I made this step!!
Specialties
Sessions typically last around 20-30 minutes (therapeutic time), though some enjoy times of 15 minutes or 45 minutes to one hour. The extra time offers more relaxation time, while in other cases it extends therapeutic effect. Pre sterilized needles are used in single use, then they are discarded in the sharps container. Needles come in various sizes and lengths, used according to a particular style of acupuncture/practitioner's preference. I use some of the thinnest needles around, .20mm, inserted at a depth of 2 mm. Acupuncture is used for: Anxiety, stress, depression. Pain of all kinds, acute and chronic, sports injuries (this includes high school students as well), Migraines/headaches, knee, back, neck, foot, elbow shoulder pain. Auto accident injuries. PIP. . Women's health: infertility, issues during pregnancy, PMS, menopause. Post operative care. I have been licensed as an acupuncturist in the state of Washington since 1995. I hold a national acupuncture board certification (NCCAOM) since 1988.
