Founded in 1989, Ashley House is a nonprofit care facility that offers services for children with special health care needs. The facility serves children suffering from catastrophic injuries and congenital birth defects. It offer 24-hour nursing care in a home-like setting. Its services include medical training and discharge planning for the families of medically fragile children. Ashley House employs a nursing and program staffs and social workers who offer family support services. In addition, the facility physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as counseling and transportation services. It provides educational services through various school districts. With one of its locations in Enumclaw, Wash., Ashley House also maintains its divisions in Kent and Olympia, Wash.
