The Westmoreland County Museum opened in 1941 to preserve and advance the history of the county. Permanent exhibits and historic paintings are located in the original museum. Rotating exhibits and a research library can be found in the historic courthouse. A mercantile and soda shoppe are the features of the Wakefield Building.
