Virginia Commonwealth University offers more than 190 certificates, undergraduate, graduate, professional and doctoral programs. It offers a wide range of undergraduate programs in accountancy, anthropology, art education, art history, biomedical engineering, business, chemistry, communication arts and clinical laboratory sciences. It also provides various graduate programs in adult learning, aging studies, applied social research, biochemistry, business administration, computer science, criminal justice and dental education. The university has a media center and a library and provides various sports activities, such as basketball, cross country, field hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and track and field. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Established in 1968, Virginia Commonwealth University enrolls more than 30,000 students and is located in Richmond, Va.
