Thomas Somerville saw an opportunity for his family to prosper and opened a small brass foundry in Washington, DC named The National Brass Works. Since then, The Thos. Somerville Co. has evolved into providing plumbing and HVAC products and equipment for both residential and commercial applications. The company now employs over 400 people and operates out of 20 branches and nine retail showrooms that serve customers and trade professionals throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The corporate headquarters and central distribution center is located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. After five generations, the company is still family-owned with pride.
