The American Hotel Banquet Room hosts a year round uniquely beautiful setting for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, anniversaries, engagement parties, civic events, family reunions and business events. Offering an inviting atmosphere, featuring dramatic chandelier lighting, with exquisite hardwood floors, and rustic decor that was recently renovated. We can seat your reception of 200 with additional space to meet your needs. Ample parking exists, along with additional parking in our two story garage. Caterers enjoy the use of our large prep room. You may use any Caterer of your choice or prepare your own food. We are Located in the heart of the historic downtown wharf area of Staunton Virginia, near Charlottesville, and South of Harrisonburg, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with indoor and outdoor photographic sites including sites related to the historic Staunton Train Station.
