Founded in 1720, the Episcopal congregation in Fredericksburg predates the founding of the city of Fredericksburg. This church prides itself on its connection to the past. Indeed, George Washington's family, and other prominent Colonial Americans worshipped with this congregation. The sanctuary is usually open to the public during non-worship hours. Inside, visitors can grab a pamphlet on the nearly 300 year history of the church. The current structure itself only dates back to 1849. The church also has a number of fellowship halls which can be rented out to non-profit organizations. Helpful staff man the office during business hours.
