History

Chartered in 1936, SVEC maintains over 7,800 miles of electric lines and serves about 96,000 meters in the counties of Augusta, Clarke, Frederick, Highland, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren in Virginia, and the city of Winchester. Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative was the first electric cooperative chartered in Virginia.

Security light has been out for over 3 weeks. Everyone I talk to says they will put a work order in. But as of today one can find it in their records. Excuse me, no one can find it in their records.

Do better! The bill this month says we used 17% less than we did this month last year. The bill is just as much, even after we cut just to save! This company is a monopoly and a joke.
