Wanting to be a parent first prior to advising parents, she had her daughter, Lauren, during her fourth year in medical school. She was very fortunate to start private practice with her mentor, Dr. James Arline, at Children's Medical Center of Tidewater. After his passing, she joined PDC Pediatrics.
