History
Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center began when Linda Stancill moved to Southwest Virginia and started teaching partner dance out of her house. Soon, her popularity grew and she needed more space. She found an empty store in historic downtown Christiansburg, renovated, recruited a few other teachers, and named her new studio after her favorite color. Now Sapphire is still her favorite color and it's also SWVa's favorite place to learn ballroom dancing. In 2013, Sapphire expanded into Studio A, next door to our original space, and started offering performing arts programs as well as partner and social dance classes and lessons.
