Glade Spring Middle School is a public school that offers educational classes to more than 340 students in sixth through eighth grades. It is a part of Washington County Public Schools, which has a total enrollment of nearly 7,500 students. Established in 1968, Glade Spring Middle School is accredited by the Virginia Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school has a staff of over 50 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes classroom teachers, guidance counselors, special educators, physical education instructors, media specialists, nurses, speech therapists, exploratory teachers, and band and choral directors and assistants.
