The Norfolk Department of Public Health is governed by the city of Norfolk in Virginia. Its environmental health division assures the prevention of diseases and provides surveillance, inspection, intervention and enforcement services. The department administers the School Health Program, which includes tube feeding, catheterization, tracheotomy care and scoliosis referral services.
