History
God called us to start a church for people who did not feel welcomed in other churches, such as people in recovery from substance abuse, ex-offenders, and their families. We began as a home Bible study and then grew in number and Spirit requiring a bigger facility. On Palm Sunday, 2002, we had our first worship service at the Barrett Day Care Center, which we soon outgrew and moved to the Blue Ridge Club House on Elliott St. After two years, we again moved to the Monticello Event and Conference Center. We stayed there another two years, then relocated to Clark Elementary School, where we have been for the last eight years. On October 4th, we celebrated our first worship service in our new church building at 1130 East Market St. We prayed for 13 years to have our own 24/7 facility. God finally granted our prayers and then showered us with free furniture, free legal advice, no increase in our insurance and a reduction in our rent! We can now increase our ministry
