The Meherrin River Regional Jail is a state-of-the-art adult detention facility serving Brunswick County, Dinwiddie County, and Mecklenburg County in Alberta, VA. With a housing capacity of 697 offenders in its main facility and an additional 80 offenders in its satellite facility in Boydton, VA, the jail is committed to the elimination and prevention of sexual assault and misconduct, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003.
