Ms. Mantooth is an East Tennessee native. She has been a Bedford resident since 1988 and married a Bedford County native. Her interests include pottery, water coloring, gardening, stained glass, and reading. She devotes a good deal of time to attending continuing education programs related to improving counseling skills and remaining current on the latest counseling research and development. Ms. Mantooth received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1977. She earned her Masters Degree in Social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1995. She interned at Central Virginia Community Services, Lynchburg, Virginia and at the Veteran's Administrative Hospital in Salem, Virginia as part of her Masters in Social Work Requirements. Following graduation, she received clinical supervision and on the job training before taking and passing the states Licensed Clinical Social Worker exam in 1998.
