LOKAL Café is a unique, whole-foods, plant-based virtual bakery in Williamsburg, Virginia. We create organic and locally sourced healthful, plant-based breads and baked goods, made in-house using only organic flour. Our customers trust our food to be nourishing and enjoy our bread and baked goods. Here is why: Our organic flour is milled to order by Lindley Mill in North Carolina Many of our loaves and baked goods use sprouted, whole-grain wheat and rye flour We only use wild yeast, captured in our starter from the local environment, for a distinct flavor and to lower the body’s glycemic response to carbs Everything we bake is plant-based Limited use of oils. We use organic, vegan butter for cookies and biscuits We limit the amount of added sugar in our muffins, cookies, and desserts and use organic, raw, vegan sugar.
