Komodo USA provides abacus-based math learning programs for children five through 12 years. Students learn basic arithmetic starting with simple single digit addition through more advanced operations. With practice, students will be able to do complex math calculations in their heads faster than using a calculator. The main advantage in using an abacus is that the students memorize the image of the abacus in their mind, and can perform calculations without any tools. Other benefits of the Abacus Mental Math program include improvements of numerical memory, memory of spatial arrangement and progress in solving general mathematical problems taught in elementary schools; including the four fundamental arithmetic calculations and practical word problems.
