Founded in 1926, Short Pump Elementary School serves the educational needs of more than 650 students, and offers classes from kindergarten through grade five. The school offers instructions in science, language arts, English, mathematics, health education, computer science, social studies, arts and crafts, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. It provides various special education classes for students with special needs. The school facility includes a fully equipped media center, multipurpose room and cafeteria.
