E.S.H. Greene Elementary School was named after Edwin Stonewall Hunter Greene, a former superintendent for schools in Chesterfield County and the city of Colonial Heights, Va. It enrolls more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, social studies, humanities, science and reading. It also provides instruction in art, music and physical education. The school additionally offers exceptional education, English as a Second language, and Title I reading and math programs. It has a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising programs. Located in Richmond, Va., E.S.H. Greene Elementary School is a part of Richmond Public Schools.
