Liberia Plantation is a historic site in Manassas that has played a significant role in the region's history. Originally built in 1825 by the Weir family, the house was a working plantation up until the Civil War, when it became the headquarters of Confederate General P.G.T Beauregard, as well as a hospital after the Battle of First Manassas. Today, Liberia Plantation provides a glimpse into life in 19th century Manassas from the perspectives of both the landowners and the slaves who lived and worked there. It is only open for special events and programs, which are hosted and managed by the Manassas Museum.
