The Fredericksburg Spinners and Weavers Guild (FSWG) is a vibrant community of fiber artists in Fredericksburg, Virginia, dedicated to exploring various forms of fiber arts, including weaving, spinning, knitting, felting, and more. With a focus on education and cultural traditions, the guild aims to share their knowledge and techniques with the public and fellow members. Serving the communities of Culpepper, Orange, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, and Prince William counties, as well as Southern Maryland, Richmond, and Northern Virginia, the FSWG welcomes both local and virtual members.
As a member of the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association (MAFA) and the Handweavers Guild of America (HGA), the FSWG offers access to a vast collection of educational resources and knowledge through their extensive library and subscription services. With regular hybrid meetings held on the second Saturday of each month, members can participate virtually or in person at the Central Rappahannock Library in Fredericksburg. These meetings include business matters, show-and-tell sessions, refreshments (for in-person attendees), and engaging programs or activities at minimal or no cost. Join the FSWG to immerse yourself in the rich world of fiber arts and be part of a supportive and creative community.
