The Chesterfield County Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that maintains a vice section. The section investigates various offenses, such as prostitution, sexual solicitation, pornography and gambling. It targets and investigates drug traffickers and organizations. The vice section is also responsible for identifying and seizing assets of criminals obtained directly or indirectly through illegal activities, including drug trafficking. In addition, the Chesterfield County Police Department maintains a forensic unit, investigations bureau and fugitive section. Located in Chesterfield, Va., the department offers a variety of support services, such as fingerprinting, concealed weapon permits, background checks, parking law enforcement, and sexual offenses and domestic violence prevention.
