GMU's Prince William campus is the third of its kind and was opened to the public in August of 1997 with an enrollment of 400 students. Today, the campus serves more than 4,000 students and is home to the Verizon Auditorium, Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center , Mason Center for Team and Organizational Learning (The EDGE), Mason Enterprise Center, Hylton Performing Arts Center and a Biomedical Research Laboratory.
