Central Academy Middle School educates students in grades six through eight. It offers courses in math, English, humanities, foreign language, science and social studies. It also offers electives in computers, band, agriculture, technical education and arts. Its guidance center facilitates the growth and development of students in academic, social and career development areas. The school s athletic department promotes several sports, such as football, wrestling, volleyball, soccer and track and field. The school s band introduces music concepts with training on specific musical instruments, such as trumpets, trombones, euphonium, tuba, flutes, clarinets and percussion. Additionally, the school operates a library that provides a wide selection of reading material. Central Academy Middle School is located in Fincastle, Va.
