HistoryIn 1989 Arnora Hummel began Academie De Ballet with a small studio in Chesapeake, Virgina. We at Academie de Ballet and Dance Centre are dedicated to giving the most professional instruction to not only develop the student physically, but also to develop mental discipline and an appreciation and respect for others. Many of our students have auditioned and been accepted by major ballet companies exclusive workshop such as: American Ballet Theater, Kirov, Pittsburgh Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet and Alvin Ailey. Others have received scholarships to universites and still others have used their gift of dance to bless many in countries around the world while on a mission, which is a great calling.
