The Thomas Birkby House, built in the 1770s, was part of the original Town of Leesburg and remains a classic piece of architecture in the historic district. After being purchased in 1998 by Ron Rust and Judy Kozacik, the owners restored the original building, added air conditioning, restored the fireplaces and decorated the house to make for an inviting space for weddings and special events.
Today the Thomas Birkby House is known as a remarkable wedding site. With its historic house, carriage house, manicured gardens, gazebo, brick courtyard and tent, which accommodates 150 guests, the Thomas Birkby House makes for a unique and lovely wedding location.
