History
In 1977 Dominion Radio Supply was formed in Richmond, VA to service local car dealerships. Popular products at this time were eight track players, am radios, and CB's. In the early 80's, car stereo became a growing fad among car, and high fidelity stereo enthusiast. Manufacturers like Alpine, Kenwood, and Rockford Fosgate burst on to the scene with groundbreaking technologies like automotive CD players, amplifiers, and subwoofers. In the mid 1980's Dominion Radio Supply rode the wave of the ever increasingly popular car audio craze, and opened locations in North Carolina. At this time, The name Dominion Radio was no longer fitting, especially in the Tar Heel State, so the company changed its name to a more retail friendly and geographically appropriate
