HistoryEvolution was born from the desire to combine the healing practices of yoga and physical therapy. Located in the heart of the South End Arts district of Burlington Vermont our practice is easy to access by, car, bike, foot and even cross country ski. Our two bright vibrant studios include a yoga wall and all the props you may need for your practice. We have bamboo or cork floors, large changing areas, and private treatment rooms for physical therapy. Our community yoga classes were the first in the area to offer access to yoga at a sliding fee schedule. We offer a welcoming environment where you can sit on the couch, have a cup of tea and meet new friends in your community.SpecialtiesEvolution combines the science of western medicine with the eastern healing practice of yoga. Our yoga studio offers over 50 classes a week. We specialize in alignment based hatha yoga for adults. Therapeutic yoga series and workshops provide instruction in practices to heal the body with breath work, custom sequences, meditation and guided relaxation. Evolution Physical Therapy provides treatment of muscle and joint pain with a specialization in the spine, hips, pelvis and yoga therapy. Our pelvic floor therapists treat women's health issues such as incontinence, pain and sexual dysfunction. Treatment sessions are individualized for each client based on diagnosis and recovery goals. All treatment is provided by licensed physical therapists who are also certified yoga instructors. We are open Monday to Friday with early and late appointments.
