The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition (VAHC) is a coalition of non-profit affordable housing developers, advocacy groups, service providers, and other stakeholders dedicated to ensuring all Vermonters have access to decent, safe, and affordable housing. Since 1985, VAHC has been advocating for affordable housing interests and the needs of low-income Vermonters at both the state and federal levels.
With a long history of collaboration and shared goals, VAHC is merging with the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness to form the Housing Homelessness Alliance of Vermont (HHAV). This dynamic new organization will have a stronger and more unified voice in the Statehouse, increased capacity, and more stable funding streams, working towards a future where all Vermont residents have safe, stable, and affordable homes, and homelessness is brief, rare, and non-recurring.
