Swanton Elementary School
Swanton Elementary School offers classes from preschool through grade six and has an enrollment of more than 600 students. It operates through two campuses in Swanton, Vt. Its Babcock building was constructed in 1964 and offers classes from preschool through grade second. It houses classrooms, library, multipurpose room and offices. The school s central building was constructed in 1992 and houses a cafeteria, conference center, administrative offices and a gymnasium. The school consists of a parent-teacher organization that works to raise funds for enrichment projects, field trips, and special activities. It also publishes a school newsletter to update parents on current events in the school. Additionally, the school operates a program that brings school and community together through service learning projects. The Swanton Elementary School employs more than 125 people and is a member of the Franklin Northwest Supervisory Union.
