"I love to bring beauty into the world by painting. I am an avid skier and hiker and enjoy finding ethereal beauty when out adventuring. I love to capture the essence of Vermont in oils and watercolors. Plein air painting (French for open air) is how I create my watercolors. I find fresh spontaneity by painting what my eye directly sees. When traveling I bring my paints to record the natural world. Oil painting is my other muse. The intensity of the pigments and the fluidity of the medium lends itself to dramatic effects. I prefer my studio for oil painting and create my designs from studies, color theory, and invention."
