BROC is a social service organization in Southwestern Vermont. BROCs existence goes back to 1964, when President Kennedy's Committee on Juvenile Delinquency and Youth Crime started community action groups. It is committed to support and educate individuals and families to become self-sufficient in employment, homes and communities through family stablization, education, training and jobs. The group focuses on affordable housing and expanding community awareness. It helps the disadvantaged members of the communities to develop and use their capacities and abilities. It assists low-income Vermonters with basic needs, as well as helping them develop skills and resources for self-sufficiency through employment opportunities. BROC provides family services.
