History
The Inn was build as a private resident in 1848, for Martin Chester Demming, a Railroad Barron. In the early 1920's Mr & Mrs Happy Bottom (yes, thats his real name!) purchased the building and turned it into a summer hotel called The Colonial Inn. In the 1960's the hotel down the street called the Arlington Inn burned and the with a change of ownership the Colonial Inn became The Arlington Inn.
