A member of Colchester Family Practice since 2001 and current medical director, Dr. Jacobs manages primary care for all ages, including well-child care, well-adult care, mental health (depression, anxiety, ADHD) and chronic illness (diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol). She performs many common office procedures including intrauterine device insertion (IUD), joint injections and biopsy of skin lesions. She is very interested in community wellness and manages a patient advisory group for her practice. Dr. Jacobs also contributes to the Colchester Family Practice newsletter, hosts healthy food demonstrations throughout the community, runs a wellness booth at the local farmer's market and enjoys working in collaboration with the Colchester school district. Dr. Jacobs is an associate professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. She is the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Family Medicine and oversees all Family Medicine sites (Colchester Family Practice, Milton Family Practice, Hinesburg Family Health, South Burlington Family Practice and Berlin Family Health).
