Friend Tire Company was established in Monett, MO in 1956 as a small wholesale retreading business, later converting to new tire sales only. In 1984, with a sales force of over 60 travelling weekly to territories throughout the midwest, annual sales totalled over $47 million. Later that year the sales operation was converted to phone sales and delivery, the system in use today. This move allowed the company to grow substantially in recent years.
