About Dr. Harper Spence D. Harper, DPM, is an exceptional board-certified podiatric physician, providing the highest caliber of podiatric care at Wasatch Foot and Ankle Center with two locations in Heber City and Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Harper has over two decades of experience and is board-certified in surgery with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He encourages a healthy lifestyle, focuses on conservative care where appropriate, and happily treats men, women, and children of all ages. After completing his undergraduate training at The University of Utah, Dr. Harper graduated with honors from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (FKA Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1994. He finished a two-year surgical residency in 1996 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as the chief resident during his final year. In 1996, Dr. Harper became a proud diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons. He's also certified in the use of shockwave treatment (Dornier and Ossatron) for plantar fasciitis (heel spur syndrome), and the use of arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures of the foot and ankle.
