Prior to starting Wasatch, I worked for over 15 years as a business and litigation attorney (admitted to practice in WA and OR and US Tax Court), started doing business valuation work and became accredited in 2003 by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA. #4490). I came to SLC in 2003 and lead a valuation and litigation support organization--I transitioned to inactive status in OR and WA--and focused on business valuations and assisting professionals (CPAs and economists) with their work. Eventually, I took a position with an investment bank that involved capital raises and private placement work , as well as sophisticated valuation work. Wasatch was started as an attempt to share my legal experience and know-how in valuation and damages calculations in UT.
