History
We opened on July 4th 1997 under the ownership of Dee F with Dan Harrison (rip) as manager and Jeff Smith (now owns santiquin store) John Guinn and myself Jon Allred as cooks. Lehi was the 4th of the 6 locations now operating. Four years later I took over after a 6 month hiatus at flying j nephi, remodeling and reopening after a kitchen fire gutted the interior. We are an owner operated business I am here every day and all my cooks have at least 4 years experience here. I am proud to be a part of the lehi community and am gratefull for the support .
Specialties
We are a retro diner specializing in breakfast, gourmet burgers , thick shakes weekend prime rib and summertime cruise in's 1st tuesday starting in may Our name stems from our unique open kitchen multi tasking work station wherein the cook can take orders, sell orders and cook. There is almost always more than one person here (5or6 Saturdays) although the much smaller original store in Payson can run on one highly talented person. We are not a fine dining type of place, I would describe it as a blue collar type of diner like the diner in Seinfeld or bar in cheers, the cooks know most people and most people know the cooks, it isn't uncommon to see a work truck and a high end car in the parking lot at the same time, we see the local mayors, cops, executives, contractors, family's ad tourists We were recently cast as a Waffle House in a film titled Waffle Street that was based on a true story. The film was a lot of fun and closed us down for 2 weeks, myself and some employees and customers made it in as extras
