K9 Fluent Training Concept K9 Fluent's training methods are more aligned with a balanced dog training approach. We are not positive only, we are not negative only, we are not only lure-reward, we are not only “old school techniques” whatever that means. We use classical conditioning and all 4 quadrants of operant conditioning to achieve training goals set for each dog. Both psychological conditioning techniques have been tested with many different species over the years and have found that each is needed. Not all dogs are the same and it can take a different approach with each dog. Our balanced neutral technique approach refers to the dog training or behavior modification involving the use of attention, rewards, and consequences (positive or negative (not harmful)). Consequences exist in life with any choice we make, and we want each dog to be able to have to confidence to choose. Choosing correctly is the ultimate goal. Teaching dogs that stress happens and how to deal and function in life is imperative. We want a confident dog that can exist, make choices, enjoy and be happy in life. Dogs are to be a part of your family, as well as, ours not to just exist.
