Carole Baraldi, M.D., is a physician at the University of Utah Hospital Geriatric Clinic and at Emeritus at Salt Lake Skilled Nursing Facility. As a geriatrician and hospice and palliative care specialist, her clinical interests include providing comprehensive geriatric evaluations with a particular interest in disorders of cognition (dementia) and providing care to those with a high degree of frailty. In addition, Dr. Baraldi has a strong interest in providing quality care to the wide diversity of patients in the skilled nursing care setting, including short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term frail patients.Dr. Baraldi received her M.D. degree from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She received training in internal medicine from the The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Hospital. She received specialty training in geriatrics from the University of Utah School of Medicine. After completing her training in 2000, Dr. Baraldi worked in the Salt Lake City community in skilled nursing care, hospice care and primary care geriatrics. In 2009 she returned to an academic career to increase her efforts in teaching. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Hospice and Palliative Care. She is currently a member of the American Geriatric Society and the American Medical Directors Association. She is the medical director of the University of Utah Geriatrics Clinic and Emeritus of Salt Lake Skilled nursing facility.
