Cache Valley Youth Center is a detention facility operated by the Utah Department of Human Services. It provides short-term locked confinement for delinquent youth awaiting adjudication, placement or serving a sentence as ordered by a Juvenile Court Judge. The center is used for juveniles charged for auto theft, assault, armed robbery, aggravated burglary, and the sale and use of drugs. Cache Valley Youth Center provides emergency medical care if required, as well as a school program. The Utah Department of Human Services, through the Division of Juvenile Justice Services, operates several detention, receiving, day-night reporting and multiuse facilities, as well as provides a range of youth services.
