The Office of the Attorney General is governed by the State of Utah. It is responsible for upholding the constitution of the United States and Utah. The office provides law enforcement and counseling services to state agencies and public officials. The Office of the Attorney General is also responsible for initiating legal proceedings on behalf of the state and act as a supervisor to district and county attorneys. It coordinates the Children's Justice Center program. In addition, the office operates the SECURE Strike Force that tackles major crimes committed by undocumented individuals. The Office of the Attorney General provides child support and custodial services.
