The foundation for Zummo Meat Company was laid almost a century ago in 1908 by Frank J. Zummo when he organized Zummo Meat Packers. During his life, Zummo saw the growth and expansion of his business from a one horse and wagon meat purveyor to an enterprise that could process 250,000 pounds of smoked sausage and 3,000 head of cattle each month. The company services supermarkets throughout Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, providing them with sausage and boudain. Zummo Meat Company is a privately owned company that is located in Beaumont, Texas, and employs approximately 60 people.
