History
Western Micrographics & Imaging was created in 1971 by three dedicated employees with a vision of offering economical micrographic records management solutions. It grew quickly with numerous contracts from companies such as SDG & E, Cubic Corp., Solar Turbines and Rohr Inc. providing San Diego's government and commercial organizations with a new, single source for services and systems that address their document/data capture and management challenges. As time and technology grew, Western Micrographics expanded into equipment sales in the late 1980's, and now offers a full range of Digital Imaging services in the New Millennium. Our loyal production staff averages over 20 years experience each in the MIcrographics & Imaging business, thus providing our customers with the best trained, best qualified support available today.
Specialties
Our scanning services can handle almost any format of document, drawing or microfilm. including post scanning activities such as OCR and PDF conversion. Typically 2,500 A0 monochrome microfilm aperture cards can be scanned and stored on just one 650Mb CD ROM. Smaller formats (A4 16mm microfilm) can achieve 20,000 images per CD ROM. Western Micrographics is equipped with the latest high speed scanning equipment and our scanning services are one of the lowest cost services you will find. Additionally, we can transform digital images such as PDF files into other formats.
