The West Texas Centers for MHMR provides services for people with mental disabilities throughout Andrews, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Fisher, Gaines, Garza, Glasscock counties in Texas. Established in 1997, the center offers a range of services, such as education, nutrition, nursing, audiology, social work and family counseling. It provides rehabilitative skills training for symptom management and independent living. West Texas Centers for MHMR also operates an internal provider division that offers a range of community support services. Its activities are designed to assist in acquisition, retention and improvement in adaptive skills. Additionally, its little lives program helps in the early identification, screening and assessment of children s behavior, strengths and developmental needs. West Texas Centers for MHMR maintains a location in Big Spring, Texas.
